I was inspired by the beauty of nature and the beautiful colours of sunlight. I painted this beautiful place to make a fleeting moment last forever with the still, calm nature of a swan. I see swans as a motif of familiarity and surety and promise and I set the swan lake in a woodland as I love the wonder of the light through the trees.
