Hand/shoulder bag made from lime green linen fabric and contrasting patterned fabric in purple, pink and green that reminds me of aboriginal art.
Like all my “No. 1” handbags it has lots of zipped and open pockets on the outside as well as on the inside to safely store all we need on a daily basis. The bag is big enough to hold laptops/tablets/books/magazines or a change of clothes!
The top is zipped, two zipper pockets at the front plus four open pockets, one each at the front and back and one either end. The outer front pocket is adorned with appliqué, beads and hand stitching, the top zipper ends in a silver D-ring with large tassel one end and a padded appliqué circle at the other.
Lining is a matching heather cotton fabric with yet another zipped pocket and two open ones for phone etc.
The bottom is firm and the four studded feet keep the quilted base off the ground.
The bag measures 40 cm wide at the top, 30 cm high, 12 cm deep.

In 2018 I drew up a design for my ideal handbag: big enough to take my iPad or laptop with lots of pockets, some with zips to store away valuables or my passport when travelling. I wanted some of these pockets accessible from the outside for easy access, others on the inside. I came up with a layered fron panel which I also love to decorate richly. Over the years I sold quite a few of these versatile bags and not two are the same! I make them to order too.
