As part of a local woodworking group, pre-lockdown, I cut out several blanks from furniture grade plywood, ready for decoration. Using a folk art style, I've painted these images, using some traced 1950s fire surround tiles images, which I spotted in a local Primary School (part of the original interior of the building).

The hearts are finished with a matt varnish (front and back) and have a fitted hook, ready to hang on the wall.

I really like the simplicity of Folk Art, the colours and images. Suitable for animal lovers, kitchen, nursery or farm.

20% of the purchase price will be donated to Hay Farm Heavy Horse Centre, in Northumberland. Hay Farm is dedicated to the preservation and breeding of Clydesdale Heavy Horses. During lockdown they have missed out on a massive income boost from visitors to the Farm. It is a beautiful, welcoming place, which has undergone a great deal of refurbishment in order to meet social and health requirements.
