Hello and welcome to Shirley Rainbow.
Thank you for visiting, I hope you find a hand stitched item that you love!
Please note I do post office trips on Wednesday and Saturday.
My own Christmas tree features lots of different animals collected over quite a few years, yet a donkey was missing. I’m so happy with how that donkey shaped hole has been filled!

As the donkey is one of the most important festive animals, I thought it was about time I made a donkey to go on the Christmas tree, and here he is.
Made in soft 100% wool felt, the donkey is completely stitched by hand and finished with an embroidered blanket. The mane is hand stitched with perlé and wool thread. The donkey has tiny embroidered details, meaning no two are the same. This is a lovely decoration to be treasured for years to come.
The donkey is 10cm /4” tall from ear tip to hoof. He hangs from a twine loop so can go straight on your Christmas tree. He is made from a pale grey wool felt, and wrapped in a hand embroidered blanket.
The little donkey is posted to you wrapped in tissue paper and tucked into a card box envelope, which he can be stored in through the year.
