With the rise in mental health conditions and concerns I wanted to make something pocket or bag sized that could be carried with you. Having seen a large Dammit Doll many years ago, I thought something along those lines would be perfect, with a little gentle sentiment at the end of my own poem to add a hug. I've been making these at this size and in this way since 2012, they are hugely popular for gifts to colleagues, friends, and as surprie gifts.

“Whenever things don’t go so well …
And you want to hit the wall and yell.
Here’s a little dammit doll
That you cannot do without.
Just grasp it firmly by the legs
And find a place to slam it
And as you whack the stuffing out
Yell, “DAMMIT! DAMMIT! DAMMIT!”
If Dammit’s not a word you say
Then twist its little neck
And grumble out repeatedly
“Oh Heck, Oh Heck, Oh Heck!”
And once your done abusing it
Just sit it on the shelf.
But hug it first, as I’d hug you
If I were there myself.”
Each of these Dammit Dolls is handmade, and available in a variety of colours, each comes with a little poem. Pocket-sized they are on hand to be squeezed and cuddled afterward at any stressful time; a perfect small gift for any friend or family member.
Approx 10cm tall and 7.5cm wide.
