Farming on an Organic family farm in Cumbria our livestock are brought up in a beautiful area, and they are our most important part of our work. Our sheep & lambs roam freely across our pastures and really thrive. Their welfare is at the heart of how we work and manage our farm. Like us their 'hair'/fleece needs cutting twice a year so that they don't get too hot.
We want our lambswool to have a value rather than being replaced by manmade fibre and so we have it washed and spun in Yorkshire before returning to us as yarn to sell. Wool is a wonderful product to provide warm breathable fabric which is fully biodegradable.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Full description
The Romney sheep has the highest quality of fleece, with a long crimped staple. The fleece is fine and lustrous with a pronounced crimp and produces excellent woollen and worsted yarn.
Our Romney lambs are born in the spring, and clipped at the end of summer when their fleece is long and lustrous. They have beautiful soft fleece which are naturally white and are wonderful at absorbing colour through dyeing (both natural & acid dyes).
The yarn is woollen spun, but spun to make it suitable for weave.
