I have just discovered paper mache boats, such a lot of fun to make and very theraputic, so it would have been rude not to have put a little creature in it, so a frog it was then.

'Gone fishing'
Frog loved fishing and singing, so why not make a wee boat out of song sheets he thought and so he did just that, and off he went fishing and singing the whole day through.
This is a handmade handpainted paper mache boat with a cotton sail handstained to give an aged look. Frog is hand and machine stitiched as well as hand painted and stained, he holds a primitive wood fishing rod with a tiny fish (he has just caught) wearing a hand stiched jacket with a Victorian vintage bone button, and a tiny crown on his head.
This piece measures: 22 x 20cm approx end to end and top of mast to base.
N.B. This is not a toy and is unsuitable for children.
