Full description
This collectable, unique hand crafted natural sea shell pen made on Orkney, will keep a piece of the gentle Orkney Islands in your pocket. Another of my Orkney beach-jewels, the barrel of this stunning and truly unique pen has been turned so the widest part is in the middle, the blue-green resin binder resembles the colour of the sea in Weddel Sound (where the shells came from) containing the Orcadian mussel, razor clam and "sea-glitter" (finely crushed mother-of-pearl). The twist mechanism is fitted to the top of the pen, and it has a curved pocket clip and a long, rounded taper to the tip. All the metal parts have an antique silver plate finish, and the pen uses a standard Parker refill. The tip section unscrews to enable you to replace the refill. The quality of these pens is simply outstanding, and they are a delight to use, as well as eye-catching and unique (a much mis-used word). The pen is 123mm long, about 17mm at its' widest and weighs 46g.
The price includes post and packing.
