Item details

White shirt vintage inspired clothing painting features a collection of items that might be found in a gentleman's dressing room including, white dress shirt with bow tie, top hat and gents toiletries, champagne bucket and vintage style chair with silk evening scarf. I painted this in my Norfolk studio, it is mounted, simply framed in lime-washed wood and ready for you to hang. The overall measurements are 53cm x 38cms and the internal image measures 37cm x 23cm. I call this one 'His Mauve Dressing Room II'. This painting could make the perfect 1st (paper) anniversary present or gift it to your vintage inspired man.

I am a massive vintage clothing fan, 1940's suits and such. Back in my art college days the punk movement was just emerging but I wore vintage stuff! I found a fantastic '40's jacket in a road side puddle once, scooped it up, laundered and wore it for years. It looked great with jeans. The dress shirt in this painting is my husband's and the shaving brush, although he has a beard now. The rest I had to imagine. It was great fun and I loved the deign process.
