These delicate coal tits add cheer to any room, whether they are hanging on a plain wall or in a window. Carefully cut and made to resemble the bird as closely as possible, the bird is strung on invisible cord to give the appearance that it is floating. Ribbon can be added if the piece needs more room to hang, perhaps from a window latch.

These coal tits, which have a textured surface, are approximately 12cm beak to tail and about 5cm tall, and come either facing the right or the left. As they are made by hand and it is impossible to get each one identical, a slight variation in markings and colour will occur - this means that yours will be unique!

They would make a great gift for bird watchers, bird lovers, nature enthusiasts and those who just love the countryside. More bird designs are being planned to join the flock – if you have a favourite which is not shown here, please contact me and I will try to create one to your specifications.

Right outside my workshop window is the bird feeder so I can watch its visitors when I look up from whatever is being created. The coal tits are there every day whatever the weather and have inspired these glassy replicas.
