The idea is to create something new from old, found by chance, full of history and character. To present and deliver unique Eco Friendly gifts in Sustainable Packaging.
I love collecting ceramic discarded, lost, forgotten, damaged or just not wanted any more. Favourite places are rivers and beaches, but also find great things at recycling centres and charity shops. I’m lucky to live near the River Tees, Co Durham and often walk the banks picking up broken glass, pottery anything that can be cleaned and re-worked and crafted into something new. Bits and bobs found by chance waiting to find new homes.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Additional terms
All ceramic personally collected from river banks, charity shops, recycle centres, beaches, wherever dropped, dumped or donated ceramics are found, cleaned and shaped into new stories. Each item comes with a short bio. Ceramic will show marks, scratches and imperfections, all part of its history and journey.

Ceramic discovered
The River Tees August 2020
Handcrafted into
Pendant November 2024
In August 2020 while out walking the banks of the River Tees, Barnard Castle, Co Durham I came across a small concentration of broken bits of pottery.
I found this little piece of pot in Thorsgill Beck leading into the river Tees, Abbey Road, Barnard Castle. Lovely August day, the stream was running low and I could see this little blue piece stuck in the sandy mud. I Love blue ceramics so scooped it up quickly and turning over the shard I saw a lovely little picture of a candle with decoration surrounding it. It’s a perfect small image, complete in itself, as if it never belonged to a plate. Since making this I’ve found other pieces and the little candle is actually a fence post, part of The Blue Willow pattern, but I still prefer to think of it as a complete image and still a candle.
The idea is to create something new from old, the finished piece isn't meant to be perfect. Instead, retain marks, stains and scratches, part of the original character of the ceramic.
Unique, one of a kind pendant full of history.
Pendant measures approximately 14 mm x 13 mm x 7 mm
Hanging on black woven cord 44 cm, sterling silver ends and clasp.
Delivered in gift box made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Presented on Jewellery box insert made from tall oil, a by-product of paper production. Sustainable gifts, complete with short bio and gift bag.
