Handmade patchwork quilt

This patchwork quilt has been handmade by me with these gorgeous fabrics to create an absolutely stunning heirloom quilt topper which fits a single bed.

I've named this one "fairy dreams and goodnight kisses". The main fabric is the beautiful fantasy fabric which has the most amazing details on it as shown in the photo's I've added the pretty hearts, spots and plain fabrics to compliment it. I've embroidered some of the squares on my embroidery machine to create a unique quilt that is a one-off not to be repeated. The reverse of the quilt is a plain pink cotton poplin and it has been quilted over 4oz polyester wadding making it light and soft to the touch. The wadding is fire retardant and the embroidery threads conform to BS standards EN71-3. The sewing thread is gutterman which is absolutely the best quality threads. The quilt can be washed in a machine at 30degrees but a gentle hand wash is advisable with a light press with an iron. The quilt measures 30 inches wide by 48 inches long and will look perfect in any child's bedroom. It's a gift to be treasured and a heirloom piece.
