My little budgie, Bluebelle, moults on a seasonal basis. These lovely little blue and white feathers are too cute to go to waste, so I have collected them up from the bottom of her cage, and anywhere else I find them.

Bluebelle is a rescue budgie - I found her in the hedge outside our house and after notifying the local vets and animal refuge centres, she was never claimed and has now made her home here. She is free range - the door to her cage is always open during the day, so she can come and go as she pleases. At night, she likes to sleep on her favourite pearch.

She enjoys chattering away to anyone who will listen or standing on my head or shoulder and shouting in my ear. She likes whistling and ringing bells and has a wide selection to choose from.
