The original 'ultimate makers apron' was designed for my daughter when she was at art college. Her work involves multiple disciplines using modelling clay, fine art painting, electric tools, manual saws, textile manipulation - so the apron had to be very easy to move around in whether sitting at a work bench or standing, it also needed sturdy fabric, good coverage and handy pockets for small tools and attachments. 7 years later her bright yellow apron is still going strong with a growing patina of paintwork on the front.
Working in my studio in hilly-leafy South-East London, I make aprons in small batches using cotton canvas, denim or drill - fabrics that are natural, washable and durable. Careful attention to detail, strength of construction and beautiful stitching result in a quality of finish simply not possible in mass production. I cut fabric economically, minimising waste and saving the small remnants to make one-of-a-kind bags for my ‘Boro Collection’.

The ultimate makers apron - meticulously designed with an array features useful to multi-disciplinary artists and makers. The bib features a row of hanging cargo pockets skillfully designed to remain upright and accessible even when the wearer is seated. The overlapping split skirt allows ease of movement whilst ensuring your legs are covered when sitting at the workbench or wheel, and there's another large pocket on the skirt. Adjustable soft herringbone ties give all the comfort of a cross back apron with the fit of a tie apron. Cleverly designed, beautifully sewn and made-to-last, this apron is highly specialised workwear for craftspeople.

FABRIC & CARE: 100% cotton canvas Oeko-Tex 100 certified. 'Cotton feel' 100% acrylic woven herringbone tape. Machine washable 30C, slow spin. Do not tumble dry.
