Inspired by staring out of my window during Lockdown and watching the snow fall and wondering how people were coping with the isolation during the pandemic.

Full description
I designed and cut this print in my attic studio in the Yorkshire Dales. It is not a digital print but printed by hand on an adapted etching press.
I added some delicate pieces of handpainted tissue paper on top of the lino as I printed it. The two papers bonded and glued together as they went through the press. This procedure is known as Chine Colle.
The image measures 17 x 26.5cm . It is displayed in a standard 30 x40 cm frame.
The unframed print comes sandwiched flat between acid free tissue paper and sturdy cardboard.
