Hi, a warm welcome to the Dragon Art Glass shop on Folksy. I'm Andrea, a full time glass addict (oops, artist!) living and working in the valleys of South Wales. I've had a little shop here on Folksy since about 2016, but can also often be found at local craft markets and in my studio in Senghenydd.
I always aim to send out orders as quickly as possible, (often within a day), but please be aware that I post only via Royal Mail.
To make things easier for you, I can gladly gift wrap any presents, add a hand-written note and send them directly to the recipient at no extra charge – just leave me a note and details when you checkout.

I had a request for a gnome for a Christmas tree - and coincidentally I was listening to the Bowie song the Laughing Gnome. My version of the Tomte Gnome was born...nothing compares to sitting at the flamework torch, listening to David Bowie, and making gnome beard embellishments ;) - its sure to cheer you up during a pre- Christmas lockdown.

Full description
Each cute gnome is individually hand cut, from fusing glass, and placed in the kiln to fuse. Once fused, the details of the beard and nose are added. Each little nose has been pre-fused to shape before adding, and the beard strands are made from glass that has been shaped and manipulated in the flamework torch. The piece is then put through another kiln cycle to fuse the details to the base. Finally, when fused together the gnomes are cleaned, the copper hanging rings polished and a piece of ribbon attached to allow it to hang.
They look great on the window, wall or even Christmas tree, and you could even hang them in the garden to look after your plants.
