I have always enjoyed trying a new craft.
Watching an episode of Gardeners World, a garden was featured where the plants were grown to dye with. @christinelewisstudio.
Inspirational, as I had played a little with blackberries.
This was back in the autumn of 2020. I started to collect what was seasonal, and what had
been eaten.
Horse chestnuts, acorns, avocados, blackberries, tumeric, onion skins and even the cooking water from purple kale.
Then what to make.
As Valentines Day is upon us and wishing to make something postable, I decided on a Danish inspired woven fabric heart.
This is detachable from the card, to be hung where you wish.

The heart is hand woven and hand stitched.
The organic cotton crochet loop is also hand dyed, with onion skins.
The card is made from brown recycled paper, with an envelope and
measures 18 cm x 12.5 cm.
The card is blank for your own message.
Washing is not recommended, or placing the heart in direct sunlight, as this may cause the colour to fade.
