Thanks so much for your support, Kate
Much of my inspiration comes from the natural environment. I'm lucky enough to live on the edge of the Peak District and the grit stones edges that dominate the landscape.
I love the contrast between the exposed clay like the grit crags and the silky feel of the glaze. The lines between them also capture some of the landscape colour contrasts.

Handmade pottery thrown on my potter's wheel.
This ceramic mug is made from stoneware which means it is very durable. The clay gives a biscuit speckled colour
The cup is first thrown then left until it is leather hard, then turned and the handle is added as well as my makers mark. Once dry it is bisque fired then 2 glazes are applied and it is fired again to 1220 oC. All glazes are lead free. This mug has a white glaze inside and a pink glaze on the outside
Height of mug about 7 cm
Diameter base about 9 cm and rim 7 cm
Capacity about 300 ml
This listing is for 1 mug, all mugs are handmade in small batches and each will be unique as there will be some variation in colour and shape.
Where possible I will use recycled packaging to post pottery but never at the risk of damage to t
I'm happy to include a note of your wording.
