Living between Epping Forest and the Lea Valley Park I'm in a fantastic place for walking with my lurcher Jed and that's when I have some of my wonderful wood finds. This chunk was kindly left in a secret spot specially for me in the Arboretum in the Lea Valley Park. It's gently being resurrected by one lady ranger, she doesn't want to be mentioned by name but you know who you are and I thank you! The Elm had fallen over at such an angle that it had to be cut back for safety (Elm is one of those fantastic trees that grow back vigorously so you'll see it yourself when walking) and I was the lucky recipient of some very nice chunks.
