I AM IN THE PROCESS OF MOVING ITEMS FROM THIS SHOP TO MY OTHER FOLKSY SHOP 'Lynwoodcrafts' where they will be waiting for you to view them! All my items now feature upcycled, recycled, repurposed or gifted materials and there is no longer any distinction between the two shops!
A portion of pretty cross stitch embroidery from a vintage tablecloth suggested a needlebook cover. I wanted to add a little more detail so stitched in white thread so that the original embroidery was differentiated from mine. I like the result!

Full description
A portion of pretty, cross stitch, vintage hand embroidery, reclaimed from a vintage tablecloth, was used for the cover of this needlebook. I felt the cover would benefit from some extra detailing so I added two little butterflies, and a border under the flowers, in white thread. The cover is finished by an edging of blanket stitch in pink cotton thread.
The needle book is lined in a pink and white vintage 1970s fabric. Two pieces of vintage soft flannelette are folded and securely stitched in place, to provide four 'pages' for your needles and pins. The needle case closes by a button hole stitch loop over a white button.
