I use an old-fashioned dip pen and a pot of india ink to make my ink and watercolour work, and for these paintings I have deliberately used a combination of watercolour paints that interact with each other to produce distinct, grainy, interesting effects.
I love pebbles and find painting them an extremely calm and meditiative process - feel like we all need a bit of that at the moment.

Can you spot the heart pebble? This is a small (6" x 6") original ink and watercolour artwork, based on the pebbles I find on the beaches around my home town here in East Devon. There are fossils, hag stones (the ones with holes in) and sea glass to find too.
If you have a Valentine who loves beaches, pebble collecting, geology or fossil hunting, then this might be the perfect little unique gift!
This artwork is supplied with backing board, unframed and unmounted. It will fit in a standard 8" x 8" square frame with a 6" x 6" mount.
