Full description
A small linocut, in black ink, of a bird caught in a snare hanging from a crescent moon. Printed on handmade paper.
This print is completely original and handmade using traditional linocut techniques. The design is hand drawn onto lino before being carved to create a unique linocut block. Each block is then printed by hand burnishing with archival inks onto fine paper.
The nature of lino as a medium means that the final results are unique to each finished print. Differences in the amount of ink, the pressure of the hand-burnishing technique I use and even the grain of the paper can change each work subtly. This leaves a unique connection between the final work and the artist.
This print is on handmade paper with a deckled edge.
It is 15cm by 21cm.
The print is sold unframed and delivered in protective packaging.
