Proseprints is keen to be green, our printed greeting cards are on recycled paper, with bio-degradable cellos, we use paper based packaging and are introducing non-plastic packaging for protecting artwork. We also support a local conservation charity, donating money from the sales of our cards and artwork.
The poem 'My own true family' by Ted Hughes is a fairy tale of a young boy who meets an old women in the wood, who is really an oak tree and she and the other trees make the boy promise to protect and plant more trees throughout his life. The last two lines are 'When I came out of the oakwood, back to human company, My walk was the walk of a human child, but my heart was a tree'.
£5 from the sale of the artwork will be donated to a local conservation charity - The Torrington Commons.

but my heart was a tree is based on the poem 'My own true family' by Ted Hughes and shows a young boy walking in an oak wood. It is an original monochrome Lino print finished in water based inks and printed on a hand press.
It is signed and titled in pencil by the artist.
It is a variable edition marked v/e denoting that every hand painted print is unique.
The picture is in a mount sized to fit an A4 frame
Printed on Fabriano paper using water based inks.
Colour fixed using a waterbased craft spray.
The colour may vary slightly from the image.
