Full description
Pentre Ifan was built 3,500 years ago during the Neolithic period in a hauntingly beautiful location at the foothill of the Preseli Hills in the Pembrokeshire National Park. The huge capstone that appears to be precariously supported by three uprights, weighs about 16 tons.
The atmosphere of this place is quite spiritual having a mysterious aura that is unexplainable. Perhaps it’s the fabulous location, the far reaching views or the knowledge that it is a burial site so carefully, and laboriously constructed, I don’t know. It is well worth a visit.
All of Pembrokeshire is well worth a visit with fantastic beaches, lovely towns, gardens, botanical garden complete with dome or just dolphin watching from the cliffs. I can’t wait to go back.
This is an original watercolour on acid free paper. The painting measures 5.25 x 7.5 inches and will benefit from being mounted and then framed as demonstrated in one of the photos.
This picture is sent out unmounted and unframed.
It will be sent out in a stiffened cello bag using first class signed for post. I use recycled or recyclable packaging.
