This is a basic kit that is suitable for beginners and provides an introduction to the traditional Dorset skills of cross wheel button making.
The kit contains full instructions with plenty of photographic illustrations and suitable thread and rings to make six buttons. Also included is a short background to the history of Dorset buttons.
The rings in this kit are 18mm or 3/4" diameter and the pre-cut cotton thread is in a yellow shade.
You will only need a blunt or tapestry embroidery needle and a small pair of scissors to complete the buttons.
