Full description
An abstract design of a rockpool with orange textured glass as the rippled sand, the two shades of blue glass as the sea with clear & iridescent glass indicating the clearness and shimmer of the water and the vivid coloured glass globs as the creatures that live there. There are no defects but I made it a while ago so hopefully it will go to a good home.
Made in the Tiffany Style each piece of glass has been cut to shape and the edges smoothed on a grinding wheel before being copper foiled and soldered together. Decorative soldering represents the seaweed and creatures growing on the rocks and the movement of the water. A light copper patina has been applied and polished to bring out the highlights.
It measures approx. 5.25" by 4.24" and hands by a metal chain which is soldered in place.
Packaged in tissue paper and bubblewrap in an attractive handmade paper gift bag and well protected for posting.
