LET ME KNOW IF THERE ARE ANY GREETINGS TO INCLUDE.
My interest in vases relates to their sculptural potential and to their function for displaying flowers or other material. On this vase the sloping stamped textures provide surface contrasts reminiscent of impressionist painting and there are sumptuous pale blue glaze pooling and streaky runs to add further visual interest. This octagonal vase would sit happily on a shelf or could be a vessel to help its owner create an original and eye-catching Ikebana display.
