Full description
This robin is hand made and measures, approx 6cm high and 6.5cm long. It is made from white earthenware clay and has texture made by pressing the side of a tool in to the soft clay, when dry it is fired first in an electric kiln. Red glaze is painted all over then I've wiped it off from the textured parts and it is then raku fired in a gas kiln and smoked in a container with sawdust. The black/greyish part of the bird is unglazed and has been sanded and and polished with beeswax.
