Large table centre mat that is handmade patchwork using 100% cotton fabric new and some is home dyed remnants.
Star shape is central to our Christmas homes and this beautiful rich red is set in a silver forest of pine trees and topstitched with multi-coloured metallic thread for a secret sparkle.
The mat is robustly made and will happily go through a machine wash at 40c and be ironed on hot.
It is 15.5 " square (39 x 39cm)

I love making large heirloom style patchwork that will fit in and be brought out every year to make Christmas special. The grey fabric with the silver trees is perfect for the season and mixing it with the warmest rich red with holly and berries was absolutely perfect.
The backing fabric is high quality damask cotton home dyed a winter green.
