Full description
Fox picture stitched by hand.
This study of a fox has been carefully embroidered by hand with individual strands of embroidery thread. The colours and contours are built up using a method I call Drawing with Threads, which is very time consuming but allows lots of detail. I’ve used silver thread for the whiskers, which catch the light, and there’s a glint in the eye of this clever fox.
I photographed the framed picture without the glass for clarity, in natural light, but remember that screens do vary. The overall frame measures 16x16cms and the stitched piece of work is 5x5cms. With the glass in place it’s ready to display.
