A medium fabric storage basket made from vintage fabrics.

This capacious medium-sized storage basket has been made using vintage Sanderson linen fabric called 'Zephyr' from the 1980s, featuring cabbage roses, daisies and lilac flowers in lovely shades of cream, lilac and mauve set on a deep forest-green background.

The inner fabric is a textured furnishing fabric in a complementary cream with sprigs of small flowers in lilac and green, trimmed with a soft mauve pom-pom braid for extra brio.

Both fabrics have been interfaced to provide good structure to the basket, although it can be collapsed flat if required.

The basket measures approximately 20 cm high (not including the turned down rim which measures 4 cm) , 24 cm wide and 15 cm deep.

I just love being able to use up small pieces of vintage fabrics from my extensive stash accumulated over many years!

Although you may not want this vintage Sanderson print on your curtains or upholstery anymore it can still be given a new lease of life as a contemporary accessory in which you could store a multitude of things. It would look lovely on the bathroom shelf housing those bottles which just seem to multiply or could be used to store your knitting wools and needles - the choice is endless!

The basket will be posted flat, inside a fully compostable cellophane sleeve, but can easily be returned to its full capacity by a gentle press of the hands on both sides!
