Full description
This painted bird measures approx 10cm high, 12cm long and 6cm wide. To make it I first modelled a shape then made a mould from it. I then cast it with white earthenware clay and fire it to 1060 degrees. After firing I decorate it with acrylic paints, cream on a 'blackberry'' colour background, each feather mark is a single brush stroke, it is then varnished twice to protect the decoration.
Please remember that this is a painted item and best not to keep it in bright sunlight light for long periods of time.
