I was inspired to paint this while walking round Central London during the 2020 lockdowns. The church on the left is St Lawrence Jewry - a 17th Century Wren church near Guildhall. A telephoto lens was used to exaggerate the size of the new glass towers in the distance, and I worked from the photographic reference to produce the painting.
