Full description
This beautiful leaf pendant has been completely handmade from copper wire & features a grey-blue Labradorite cabochon. I've created the veining on the leaf by twisting fine copper wires together - these are wrapped onto a thicker wire which frames the stone. A simple wire woven bail to represent the leaf stalk completes the design.
Labradorite is an unusual stone - at first glance it's a greyish colour with a blue sheen & darker grey veins running through it. When the light catches the internal iridescence it flashes a stunning bright blue colour - I have tried to capture this effect in the photos. Please note that the iridescent flash in this particular cabochon is fairly understated & only appears from certain angles - it's as if this gorgeous leaf pendant has a secret surprise for you!
I've oxidised the pendant to bring out the detail in the twisted & woven wire. It comes with a 2mm thick waxed black cotton cord, complete with handmade fastenings. The cord length is approx. 40cm but I can supply a different length if required - please let me know via the 'choose options' button.
The pendant measures 4.8cm long from the top of the bail, 2.2cm across, & approx. 1cm deep. It will be posted out first class, in a 100% recycled (& reusable!) gift box, within a recycled polythene bag.
