I received a book as a gift for Christmas 2019 called The Urban Woodsman by Max Bainbridge who introduces the reader to the art of hand carving in an easy, satisfying and therapeutic way. I began creating basic spoons and spatulas, before exploring ways in which I could create alternative shapes whilst still having that functionality.

Full description
Handmade in Leeds, these kitchen utensils have been made using re-claimed wood that was destined for landfill. The wood has all been cut down, cleaned up, planed, sanded to a super smooth level before being bathed overnight in a linseed oil - which as a drying oil is suitable for home cooking. The oil itself sinks into the wood and hardens on the inside.
This listing is for one utensil - whether that be a spatula or wooden spoon. Each utensil is completely unique depending on the wood used. When ordering you are free to choose from any of the spatulas and wooden spoons shown in the images. Once an item sells, I will mark that specific one as sold and/or remove the image.
Collection:
Collection is from Lower Wortley, which is in LS12 and 2.4 miles west of Leeds City Centre, United Kingdom. This option avoids the delivery fee.
