I find porcelain fascinating and it is very different to working with the white or grey stoneware clay that I normally use. Porcelain is incredibly fragile and powdery before it is fired but once it has been fired it becomes strong, translucent and silky smooth.

Glacier white porcelain Baubles with Baby Blue glaze.
This set of three Baubles (one of each shape), comes packaged in a luxury gift box, with tissue paper and ribbon. Perfect for gifting or as a new addition to your own tree. The baubles hang on a fine wire with crimped metal bead.
Approximate drop from top of wire loop to base of bauble: between 16 cm to 17.5 cm.
Once the piece is dry, it is fired first to 1000 degrees C. Separate layers of glaze are then painted on before it is fired for the second time, to 1250 degrees C, making it strong and durable. All glazes are lead-free and non-toxic.
Made with care and attention to detail. Because everything is made and glazed by hand, each item is unique. Each bauble is printed with a section of a larger pattern so the specific part of the design featured on each piece will vary.
