I originally designed this piece as a gift for a friend of mine and loved it so much that I decided to make more, with each brooch piece being unique in its own way.

Bee Brooch on pink flower all handstitched using bead embroidery techniques.
How its made:-
Its all handstitched using bead embroidery techniques with Czech and Toho seed beads. All the seed beads are stitched freehand onto a beading foundation. The flower is a pre cut shape, which has been edged with delica seed beads. The centre of the flower has a little goldwork with gold seed beads.
I have made the bee head by setting in a resin mould, to get the correct shape and size required.
He has a pretty faceted hematite gemstone under his head and a black diamond coloured Czech firepolished crystal.
The final stages are to carefully trim around the stitching and stitch on the cream felt backing and glue on the brooch back.
Approx dimensions 8cm deep and 8cm wide.
Comes presented in an organza bag.
