I love to explore the potential with knitting, how i can manipulate the knitted fabric to hug the contours of the body and create shapes that show us off to our very best. I love making cowls, there is so much potential to make something that does more than just keep you warm. I want to create shapes that make a real statement and form part of the whole outfit.
This cowl is just such a piece, i wanted something that was easy to wear, but functional and also that packed a visual punch. I love how this has turned out. I will be wearing one of these for most of the winter, except when I am asleep of course.

A real statement piece to add to your knitwear accessories this Winter, it would make a fantastic gift and whoever receives it will thank you.
I designed this cowl a fair few years ago, it became a bestseller on Folksy at the time and I loved it! But I wanted something a little bit more substantial, something that felt warm and comforting, that made a bit more of a statement. So I revisited the original and looked at how I could crank up it's credentials, I made it with the same luxurious merino wool, but I worked it double on 20mm needles, I tweaked the shaping and so the Donut cowl was reborn and boy how wonderful it is.
200g of pure merino luxury, a cowl that will see you through the coldest of days, that looks so good and will make a bold statement every time you wear it.
It is available in 5 colours, this listing is for the coolest of pale blue shades, finished with a handmade giant button in a self shaded colour to match.
