I've had this design in my head for quite some time, I love a good chunky cardigan for lounging around in during the long winter nights, but I want it to be just the right amount of oversized, not too long and not too heavy. This ticks all of those boxes, it has a real bomber jacket feel to it that is reminiscent of the 80's but with a contemporary edge. It isn't too long and because it is made from a lovely light weight chunky yarn you can wear it all day and not feel weight down.

Full description
This is a pattern to create this super snuggly easy fitting cardigan. It is a simple and straightforward design, perfect for a beginner who has mastered the basics of casting on, casting off, increasing and decreasing and also includes an optional basic cable element for anyone wanting to practice their first cable design.
It is laid out in clear and simple steps to help you create a highly wearable cardigan with the look and feel of a bomber jacket. The oversized pockets are set slightly high reinforcing the intention of it having a jacket feel. They are perfect for keeping your bits and bobs in.
I have crated this design using Rowan Brushed Fleece yarn, a chunky yarn that knits up quick on 6mm needles. It is a luxurious blend of merino wool and alpaca. Whilst it is chunky and warm and fluffy it is remarkably lightweight. It takes just 10 balls to make the small size making it a great project.
