Northern Lights is a lovely, lightweight wool scarf, handwoven on my Saori loom at home in Derbyshire.

The fibre was first hand-dyed then spun into a fine weight yarn ready to weave.

Spinning the fibre blends the colours creating different tones, weaving then takes them to another level, a whole new spectrum of colour emerges. I never fail to be amazed by this magical transformation.

I used 100% Corriedale which is a lovely soft fibre and the oldest of the cross breeds. Originally a Merino, Lincoln cross and developed in Australia and New Zealand. It's one of my favourite wools.

A soft, lightweight woolly scarf, it will be cosy and keep the winter chill at bay.

Hand finished with twisted tassels.

Suitable for both men and women, everyday wear, a special gift or treat for yourself.

Measures 27.5cm wide and 162cm long including the tassels.

Hand wash only.

I love nature, it inspires me everyday. The Northern Lights fascinate me and, hopefully, one day I'll get to see them in person. This scarf is my interpretation of the lights as they flicker, dance and twirl across the night sky.
