The Story Behind This Toy
I made this little felted mouse for my beloved 18-year-old moggy, who still has a spark of kitten mischief in her. Despite her age, she loves batting at things with her paws and chasing anything that rustles — but I wanted something soft, safe, and kind to the planet.
I used natural merino wool and hessian because they’re not only gentle and fun for her, but also fully compostable. When the toy eventually wears out, it can return to the earth instead of ending up in landfill. Every stitch is made with love and care — for her, and for the environment.
Now she naps with it by her side, and I’m so happy to share these toys with other cats who still love to play.
