I really like the process of throwing and assembling mugs. This one has a homely feel and is reminiscent of the colour palette you might find in an impressionist painting. The deep surface texture marks are highlighted by the glaze varying from blue-green where thin and rich blue where thicker. This mug would make a personal decorative statement in a display cabinet and invites inquisitive handling. Equally it could be directly enjoyed while drinking your favourite tea or coffee blend.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
A porcelain mug with variations of colour deriving from the melting of the glaze into the wheel-thrown texture marks. The blue-green glaze is overlain with blue where the glaze is thicker. The small brown splashes are brush-applied iron oxide. This mug was thrown with a UK porcelain and assembled while still soft. After biscuit firing and glazing it was fired to 1300C to make it impermeable and very durable.
- This mug is food, oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe and measures approximately 10cm tall and 8cm wide.
- The bottom is impressed with my seal, the letter P, and its identity number 9878.
