I love to make and I love all things floral. I've combined these two loves and make vases. I love to carve all my porcelain work to give a tactile texture to the vase. This particular shape is named Anna. I've taken to naming my vases after the inspirational women in my life, who have supported me and guided me.

Full description
This is a porcelain vase that is 22cm high, 8.5cm at its narrowest and 12cm at its widest in diameter.
These carvings are one of my new patterns, inspired by the centres of dahlias, with a sea green glaze. The glaze is a deeper colour in the carvings. Its glazed on the inside to make it easier to keep it clean.
I fire at very high temperatures for porcelain and this means the glaze can run off the vessel. This particular vase has a bubble of glaze that settled on the kiln shelf and didn't stick, so its like a gorgeous smooth glass bead.
