LET ME KNOW IF THERE ARE ANY GREETINGS TO INCLUDE.

I really enjoy the whole process of throwing and assembling mugs. This one has a homely feel and is reminiscent of the colour palette you might find in an impressionist painting. The deep surface texture marks are highlighted by the glaze varying from tan where thin and rich blue-cream where thicker. This mug would make a personal decorative statement in a display cabinet and invites inquisitive handling. Equally it could be directly enjoyed while drinking your favourite tea or coffee blend.

Full description

A stoneware mug with variations of colour deriving from the melting of the glaze into the wheel-thrown texture marks. The glaze is blue-cream where the glaze is thicker and tan if thin. The splashes of brown derive from brush-applied iron oxide. This mug was thrown with a UK stoneware and assembled while still soft. After biscuit firing and glazing it was fired to 1300C to make it impermeable and very durable.

- This mug is food, oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe and measures approximately 11cm tall and 9cm wide.

- The bottom is impressed with my seal, the letter P, and its identity number 9876.
