Full description
Decoupage and hand painted, these oyster shells have been harvested from the sea off the Devon coasts and transformed in to a trinket dish.
All shells are unique with natural flaws from years of sea dwelling. Each shell varies in shape and size.
These pretty blue and white oyster shell trinket dishes have a variety of uses such as a holder for delicate jewellery such as rings, earrings, tie pins and brooches or just on its own as a pretty ornament.
The inner shell has been painted white then a nautical theme napkin decoupage applied, with gold leaf paint edges - along with a coat of non toxic, water based varnish seals the sharp edges, smoothing them out.
The underside of the shell is varnished, the inner shell has a glass-like resin finish, making the inside of the shell water resistant, leaving a high gloss reflective surface.
Please be aware there are small natural flaws with the oyster shell that are not always camouflaged successfully by the decoupage/resin process.
Size: 10 cm x 6.5 cm
