I create a variety of practical and pretty home accessories for you to gift your loved ones, your family and friends or even just for yourself.
I decoupage whatever catches my eye, but with an eye on current trends, holiday seasons and what I think my customers would love to own.
What is Decoupage?
It is the art of decorating an object by gluing on it coloured patterned paper, fabric or napkins in combination with special paint effects, gold leaf and other decorative elements.
It is an imperfect art, but very occasionally, the creases and bubbles that are inevitable with gluing and varnishing lend a certain charm to the finished result. Preparation requires sanding and priming with paint.
It can take a few days to decoupage just one item, and up to a week for anything large, because the varnish and paint needs thorough drying between each coat and in some cases there are many layers of varnish.
For the most part I mostly work on custom orders; you can contact me for any anything you have in mind and I can discuss with you your ideas and make some suggestions to help you come to a decision on procuring a perfect gift created for you, for a special place in your home or as a unique gift for friends and family.
I love decoupage. It's extremely therapeutic and satisfying. The reward I get from producing a custom piece for a client is second to none; a lot of love and attention is worked in to my creations and what you have is unique and a one off - you don't get that from a shop bought factory piece!
