I did several drawings for a commissioned piece and later developed this artwork from one of the drawings. I inked the drawing and then cut it out, adding the silky pearlised tissue to the flower head and drawing in ink for the detail. It has a clean contemporary feel.

Full description
An acrylic painting on canvas board with a cut out flower drawing. Designed from a photograph of the poppy taken in my garden. I added pearlised yellow tissue and did more drawing in ink on top.
Measuring 36 cm H x 26.5 cm W.
