Full description
A stoneware ceramic pinch pot made in earthy black clay chosen for its beautiful colour and texture. Glazed on the interior with a delicate speckled turquoise shiny glaze to compliment the clay body. The exterior of the pot is decorated with white glaze in a curling foliage design which is masked off during glazing to leave areas unglazed. This creates a beautiful contrasting texture with the raw unglazed body and the shiny glaze.
The pinch pot base is fully rounded with no flat surface, but it is weighted to keep it upright. It is made like this so the onlooker can fully appreciate it's curved and voluptuous form.
