LET ME KNOW IF THERE ARE ANY GREETINGS TO INCLUDE.
I really enjoy the whole process of throwing and shaping bowls. When the bowl is turned over textural decoration, an individual stamped pot number and my personal mark, a small letter P will be seen. The bowl was fired with a chun glaze over an iron-rich glaze and is gloss olive where thin. Where the glaze has pooled it is rich blue and blue-grey. The centre is stamped with a stork picked out in blue rock pool. The underside is more lightly glazed and the wheel-made texture is visible under an olive brown. This bowl would make an Oriental statement on a table or shelf with or without contents and invites inquisitive handling. Equally it could be directly functional for cooking and serving fish recipe.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

An oriental-style bowl with a gloss olive surface. The glaze has pooled to blue where thick. The centre of the base is slightly raised to make the stork stamp visible. This wheel thrown bowl would be perfect for serving food, maybe a fish dish, a christening gift or simply for its visual appeal.
The bowl was made with a UK stoneware and after biscuit firing the glaze was applied thickly on the inner rim. Finally the piece was fired to 1300C to make it impermeable and very durable.
- The bowl measures approximately 7cm tall and 18cm wide and is food, oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe
- The bottoms is impressed with my seal, the letter P, and its identity number 9730
