Ready to frame adorable 8x10 inch animal prints! Create an ambience with ease in your home. My whimsical watercolours revere and celebrate animals in a spontaneous and fresh style.
I wanted to express the wisdom in that old face and the chellenge of painting such wrinkly skin was new to me! I hope you can feel how heavy he is as that is what I felt as I painted him!

Watercolour Galapagos Tortoise - archival PRINT - 8x10 inches
Transport your mind to the Galapagos Islands with this divinely detailed tortoise painting. I took forever on that wrinkly skin and those clumpy scaly legs.
This ancient tortoise was a super subject and this print was taken from my recent original which was painted by hand by me.
I used professional grade artist watercolour paints by Daniel Smith and Winsor & Newton.
Paper is 100% cotton rag by Millford of England. Surface NOT - Cold pressed 140lbs weight.
I then scanned the image in at 1200dpi resolution to give you this print.
As I only make a print when you buy it they are hot off the press and have not been sitting around for ages - enjoy superb colour fidelity and for decades.
This is not a cheap mass made print - believe me! I have a whopping Epson archival printer right here in my studio and I only use it when you buy a print.
The reproduction so realistic - you would be forgiven for thinking I accidentally sent you the original!
Thanks - Alison
